Nina

Would be interested to know how you are doing with the Humira. I am starting it in a couple of weeks after failing on Enbrel. I am hoping it is going to be the "miracle cure" as I am really struggling at the moment. It would be wonderful to wake up after 12 hours sleep and not feel tired. It would be wonderful to be pain free even if it is for a short while. It would be wonderful to enjoy the "Summer" - well we had to have a laugh didn't we!!

Regards

Jackie

Hi everyone, sorry haven't been around for a few days, hope you are all as well as can be expected.

Update - I feel much brighter within myself, am not relying heavily on my stick these last couple of days (am in week 3 of humira use), have been able to undertake a short walk without too much bother, and last but not least, my ankles are back! For me, humira is proving to be a slow release drug - fingers crossed (well I may be able to soon) slowly but surely this wretched disease will be under control. There have been no major side effects, but I do get a loss of feeling/tingling/numbing sensation in my hands, more so in the right than the left and more prevalent in little and ring fingers. Aim to have a chat with rheumy nurse on Monday about this - have to go to the hospital for bloods so will do this then.

Jackie - I think if this works for us we might just be able to enjoy our summer - I am sincerely hoping humira brings you some relief at least. My wish is that when I go to Spain late August, I will be able to play with my son.

I need to catch up on all posts, so catch you all later.

Nina xxx

Hi Nina

Pleased the RA seems to be easing up a little already. Keep it up!!

I'm glad you are going to talk over the tingling sensations with your nurse - always a wise precaution on any of these drugs.

Take care

Lots of love
